Stressful encounter with City Express Marriott, Playa del Carmen, New Year's Eve
Unfortunately, on New Year's Eve, after arriving at the hotel, we were informed that they did not have a booking for us and we we're subsequently turned away. Had I known that I could have rung to booking.com and they would have sorted it out, probably another hotel everything would have been fine, but considering it was 17.00 on New years Eve was almost impossible. We were extremely lucky that last minute we managed to book a much better option at a far more reasonable price and higher quality....

For the price it was ok but it can be so much better.
The breakfast was great
In the shower you don’t have where to put the shampoo and soap, you have to go off the shower and return, also it smelled weird, the reception smelled like sweat, and the rooms like humidity.
